This policy explains how Macsta Security handles data in connection with its video publishing tool, which is used to upload our own video content to our own social media accounts.
Macsta Security is a sole trader based in the United Kingdom, operating the website macsta.co.uk. For any question about this policy, contact info@macsta.co.uk.
Our video publishing tool takes video files we have produced ourselves and uploads them to social media accounts that we own and control. It is an internal tool. It is not offered to the public, it has no user accounts, and it does not process content belonging to anyone else.
We do not collect, request or receive personal data belonging to viewers, followers or any other user of any platform. We do not read comments, messages, follower lists or analytics through this tool.
Authorisation tokens are held in encrypted storage on infrastructure we control, restricted to the accounts that need them. They are used only to authenticate upload requests to the platform that issued them. They are never transmitted to any third party.
Tokens are retained only while the integration is in use, and are deleted when it is disconnected or replaced. Authorisation can be withdrawn at any time from the security or privacy settings of the relevant platform account, which immediately invalidates the token.
We do not sell, rent, trade or share any data gathered through this tool. The only external party involved is the social media platform we are publishing to, which necessarily receives the video and its metadata in order to host it.
Because this tool processes no personal data belonging to anyone outside our own organisation, there is normally nothing for a third party to request. If you nonetheless believe we hold personal data about you, you may ask us for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to erase it by writing to info@macsta.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
If this policy changes, the revised version will be published on this page with an updated date.
